Our Boat

The double nickel is a custom built 42-foot Buddy Harris built in Marshallberg, North Carolina. The boat is powered by a pair of Cummins 8.3 liter 450 horsepower diesels installed in September of 2015. We have top of the line electronics by Garmin, with a 2kW Airmar CHIRP transducer, giving us the ability to mark the fish and the bait no matter how deep they are.

When you book with the Double Nickel, rest assured that your crew is professional and fun to fish with. We are a fully bilingual crew with United States natives and Costa Rican native crew members. The crew consists of the Froelich Brothers, captains Nicholas and Will, as well as Costa Rican crew member and long lost brother Roy Smith.
